A beautiful parkland with an undulating setting is home to a collection of venomous and non-venomous snakes from all over the world. Spacius terrariums are located at various parts of the parkland along well defined paths for close public viewing of the snakes. An Interactive Centre occupies a major portion of the site.
This starkly modern building, which perches dramatically on a cliff overlooking the Andaman Sea on the hill slopes of Mat Cincang Forest Reserve, is a magnificent setting for the works of one of Malaysia's best known artist - Datuk Ibrahim Hussein. Established in 1991 - the foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to promote and develop art and culture.
Kuah is located on the south-eastern tip of Langkawi and is the island's main town with Kuah Jetty being the take-off point to the neighbouring islands.
The name in Malay word means "gravy" and is associated with an ancient legend of two battling giants that overturned a pot of curry at the spot where the town now stands.
