Driving has been much facilitated by the North-South Expressway. Make your way to Kuala Perlis, Kuala Kedah, or Penang and then proceed by ferry to the island. There are also express busses offering comfortable rides from various destinations of Peninsular Malaysia.

Travelling by road requires one to drive or to take bus to Kuala Kedah , Kuala Perlis , or Penang, before continue the journey by boat (Kuala Kedah/Kuala Perlis) or plane/boat (Penang).

Alor Star : Komp. Bas Sahab Perdana - if you want to go from Kuala Kedah

Kuala Perlis : Terminal Bas Ekspress Kuala Perlis - if you want to go from Kuala Perlis

Penang : Hentian Bas Butterworth - if you want to go from Penang
