A chartered speedboat will take weither from Awana Porto Malai or Baru Bay to the fishing spots nearby. Snapper and garouper are the most common fish that can be caught here. Trolling for barracuda (known in Langkawi as Alu-Alu) is quite common here. The best time to do this will be sunset. There are plenty of shops here selling fishing gears in good quality with reasonably cheap price.
